Joe Rossi, Chair

Joe comes from a background in Architecture, with an Architecture degree from Wentworth Institute of Technology. In 2010, after being involved at a local level, the Town of Marshfield appointed Joe as Chair of the Marshfield Seawall Committee. Joe served on the Seawall Committee until the Committee was dissolved in 2012. In that time, Joe held public hearings and dealt with recommendations on the knowledge and construction of coastal infrastructure. In 2012, seeking stronger citizen representation of coastal issues, Joe formed the Marshfield Citizens Coastal Coalition (MCCC). In the following year, 2013, the MCCC started educating citizens on flood insurance issue, and becoming experts in everything flood, specializing in citizen outreach and breaking down complicated terms and concepts. Joe continues to lead the MCCC in education on flood and many other coastal issues as a nationally recognized group. In September 2015, Joe became Associate of National Flood Insurance (ANFI) certified, which is the certification associated with an expert knowledge of flood insurance.
