Marshfield Flood Maps Change Today

Marshfield Flood Maps Change Today
Today, the flood maps in Marshfield have changed.  This means effective today, all zone and flood elevation changes take effect.  Here are some things you should do right away:

-Check our website or the FEMA flood hazard layer which has already been updated to reflect the map change.
-If you have been newly moved into any “A” or “V” zones, you should purchase the Newly Mapped flood policy (check with your insurance agent or contact our insurance service center to find out more)
-If you have been moved out of any “A” or “V” zone, we encourage you to keep your flood insurance, which is now inexpensive.  However, if you wish to cancel your policy, your refund is based on when the cancelation notice is received, so act soon.
-If you remain in the high risk flood zone but have changed zone, keep your flood policy in place to be grandfathered, or see if your premium can now be reduced.  An elevation certificate may now be very helpful.  Request a quote here.

In any case, if you have any questions, please reach out to our insurance service center for clarification.  We are here to help you during this time.
