Welcome to another update from the Marshfield Citizens Coastal Coalition
As we get to the years end, we still remain without a vote on either S. 1610 or H.R. 3370. Just Tuesday, U.S. Pennsylvania Senator Patrick Toomey again blocked the ability for there to be a vote on S. 1610. The article explaining is below

What this means is that, with the U.S. House and U.S. Senate gone for 2013, we remain without an amended Biggert-Waters act until 2014. Louisiana Senator Mary Landrieu, one of the lead sponsors of the Senate bill, has said a vote will be taken in January. In the mean time, we continue to push to find more co-sponsors of both S. 1610 or H.R. 3370. Our regional effort with the Massachusetts Coastal Coalition continues as we gain momentum with our letter to Congress.
