Registration is now open for the Flood Insurance Summit 2016!
The Massachusetts Coastal Coalition, along with our partners and sponsors, present The 2016 Flood Insurance Summit. The Summit is a series of free sessions with information and interactive discussion aimed to educate, inform, and discuss flood insurance and other issues affecting NFIP stakeholders by gathering national and state experts to present, clarify and interact with our community. This Summit will be both educational and interactive as attendees can learn and ask questions. The Flood Insurance Summit is intended for both professionals and homeowners with the goal of reaching a broad base with two separate yet equally informative sessions geared to educate and involve each audience with experts in flood issues.
The Session Schedule is as follows:
Tuesday, April 5th, Marshfield High School Auditorium- 167 Forrest St., Marshfield, MA 02050
- Session 1- Professional Session- 2:45pm-6:15pm
A session for professionals who work with flood issues everyday!
Key issues discussed: Insurance Rating, CRS, Mitigation options that reduce premiums, State Flood Coordinator Update, State Mitigation Program Update, Flood Advocate Update, NFIP Reform Status and more
- Session 2-Homeowner Session- 7:00pm-9:30pm
Simplifying the information from the professional session into direct and concise information that will benefit homeowners and inform them on flood issues. Homeowners will be able to learn and ask questions about flood insurance issues that affect them.
Highlights of this years Summit include interactive flood expert panels, access to national experts in flood insurance, and more!
This years Summit featured presenter will be Lisa Jones, a flood insurance expert from Carolina Flood Solutions with 30 years of experience at all levels of the NFIP. Lisa has sat on numerous federal and state task force panels, has testified to Congress on flood insurance, among other accomplishments and qualifications.
