In the coming weeks, there are several “blizzard benefit” events:
February 15th: 2015 Blizzard Benefit– When: 3pm to 7pm- Where: Brant Rock: Venus II, Haddad’s and The Jetty- General info: Music, Raffles, & local Celebrities and $20 suggested donation but not limited to that amount. Wristbands will be sold at all three locations for entry to all events in the Esplanade.
February 19th: Marshfield and Scituate Coastal Coalition blizzard benefit and flood insurance information meeting– When: 6:00pm- Where: St. Anns Parish Hall, 591 Ocean Street, Marshfield- General info: There will be light hors d’oeuvres while learning the latest information on flood insurance, resources for storms, Marshfield and Scituate grant opportunities, and more.
The agenda of the meeting will be:
6:00 – Opening
6:15- Grant information
6:45- Flood insurance and claims
7:00- Reduce your premiums (mitigation)
7:15- Local resources for storms
7:30- Map update
7:45- Good neighbor fund and S.A.N.D.S (donations)
Informal question time will follow
This event will also be a fundraiser. People can come and donate money to the Good Neighbor Fund of Marshfield and S.A.N.D.S. of Scituate to benefit those who lost items in the recent blizzard.
March 5th: Benefit for Marshfield residents, blizzard 15– When: 6:30pm – 10:00pm- Where: Marshfield Tavern- General info: Special performance from THE INFRACTIONS. Jim Cantwell will also be coming by to show his support. All donations accepted food, clothing, bedding, gift cards, money, every little bit will be greatly appreciated. “EVERY penny goes to residents”
