Whether you’re a real estate professional, insurance agent or interested in flood issues, Executive Director and Chair of the Board of Directors Joe Rossi will be speaking at several local and regional events in the coming weeks:
September 11th- Massachusetts Association of Realtors Conference- 10:00am to 10:45am- Mass Mutual Center, meeting room 3, Springfield, MA: For Realtors attending the MAR conference, come see Joe present “Flood Insurance and Real Estate: What Every Buyer, Seller and Realtor Should Know”. The course give you the tools you need to sell or buy in a flood hazard area, including the new Realtor Roadmap.
September 11th- Boston Waterfront Neighborhood Alliance- 7:00pm: The discussion will revolve around the development and impact of the regional sea gate system in Boston harbor. This meeting is more members of the Alliance.
September 12th- ICA Watershed East Boston Climate Conversation- 6:00pm to 8:00pm- ICA Museum, Boston, MA: Focused on climate change, the presentations focus on how East Boston is preparing to address the impacts of climate change on the community. Joe will be part of a panel to discuss flood insurance issues. RSVP HERE
September 17th- Key Fundamentals of Flood Insurance Seminar- 9:00am to 12:00 noon- Double Tree by Hilton Hotel, Hyannis, MA: While this is not an event the MCC will be speaking at, it is a great opportunity to learn the basics of NFIP insurance. This course is approved for 3 hours of continuing education credit in the states of Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Connecticut for insurance agents. Registration can be found HERE
September 26th- Surprising Seas- 7:00pm- Kingston Intermediate School, Kingston, MA: A discussion around changing seas and our changing coastline. Joe and Vice Chair Tim Williams will be present to speak on insurance related issues. Download the flyer HERE

November: MCC Annual Meeting- Join the MCC for the first annual meeting of our membership. Come vote in the slate of officers, view updated flood maps, and hear guest speakers. Exact date and time TBD. More to come!
