Meeting 7/17/13

A lot of information was discussed on our meeting on 7/17/13.  The executive committee had a discussion on our next move for outreaches to make sure individuals are aware of changes in FEMA flood maps and FEMA flood insurance rates that will affect them.
The discussion ended with the following conclusion:
There will be 3 outreaches.  One scheduled for Aug. 8th at Saint Anns Parish Hall, time TBD.  The second one will be around Sept. 4th, the final one will be around Oct. 9th.
These outreaches will explain the changes occurring, attempt to answer questions, and help people find where their homes will be on the new maps.
The State has agreed to supply documents to help explain the information.  More info to come, as the executive committee is meeting the week of 7/22 privately.
