Email to Email List 8/6

Good Evening,
Welcome to another update from the Marshfield Citizens Coastal Coalition.
As a reminder, our outreach to inform residents of changes to FEMA flood maps and FEMA flood policies is this Thursday, August 8th at 7:00pm at Saint Anns Parish Hall, Ocean Street, Marshfield.
We will be breaking the discussion into two parts.  The new FEMA flood policies, then the new FEMA maps, with a focus on the maps.  Please expect a one hour presentation, with a half hour question and answer session.  There will be an informal time after this to look at maps and talk to our committee.
We are asking people to bring their elevation certificate and site plan if they have one to help answer questions.  Our presentation will be reviewed by NFIP, and we will only be handing out NFIP and FEMA documents, to make sure we give you 100% accurate information.
Also please check our web site.  We are not a town board or committee, but the Town of Marshfield web site has done a great job at updating a section of it for maps and other FEMA info.  We have a link to their site on ours.  We have also updated the maps on our web page to include flood zones and overlaid the expanded zone map on top.  We will have these maps printed at our outreach.  We also will have a list of roads of concern, which will list streets that have a changed flood zone or an addition of a flood zone.
We have bankers, surveyors, realtors, and others that will be in attendance to understand and learn, and also be a resource.
How can you help?  Spread the word, and we hope to see you there.
